Trumps tax bill is not a boon to you and I! It will put nothing in your pocket, not the middle class or the poor in America. Sure Trump promises it will put $4,000 dollars a year back in your pocket, but that is a bald faced lie. It is not only a lie, but this tax bill is going to cost you big time when you know the truth.

First off economists know that the lion’s share of the tax cut goes to corporations. Well who owns the lion’s share of stock in our corporations, the top 1% and maybe in lesser degree the top 10%! Those little pieces of stock you own are not going to get you squat! So who pays the taxes for corporations, shareholders do! Corporations themselves do not pay taxes, only people pay taxes, despite what a GOP controlled Supreme Court has told you corporations are not people, and only people pay taxes. So this tax cut makes the richest in our country richer, because as shareholders in all the major corporations they will pay a lot less in taxes! I mean that is what they all paid for when they bought their politicians!

You and I, well to start off with the $4,000 dollar boon to you and I is false, a lie. You might see $600 bucks. But in reality you will be paying through the nose. Where to do you think they are going to get the money to give to the rich, I’ll tell you where, from you and me. How, you ask? By getting rid of, or vastly downsizing Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, federal aid to education, food programs, and on and on. Why do you think they want to get rid of the Affordable Care Act so badly, it has nothing to do with healthcare, they could care less about your health! It is because it frees up billions of dollars for this gift to the rich. That is the whole reason the GOP exists right now is to get what the Koch brothers and their ilk paid for, a significantly lower tax on the rich and corporations. They Koch brothers just held a conference in Washington recently to complain about why the GOP has been so slow to get them what they paid for, and they were not even subtle about it! We will not even get into the estate tax, which only comes into play for the very rich, not your average Joe, farmer or rancher, as they would have you believe. It is all a lie that will cost you dearly, not only in your pocketbook, but also in lives as well!

You will notice while Obama was in office the GOP harped on the debt and the deficit constantly. How dangerous it was to increase the debt, and not to decrease the deficit. Even though President Obama did decrease the deficit more than any of the last five Presidents, but the GOP does not talk about that! What do you hear today from the GOP presently, absolutely nothing! The GOP does not talk about the debt and deficit at all! Why? Because this new tax plan and the Presidents budget will add tens of trillions of dollars to the debt! The tax plan alone would reduce federal revenues by $9.5 trillion over its first decade alone! It could increase the national debt by nearly 80 percent of gross domestic product by 2036! And the good ole trickle down theory is the only avenue to pay it back, which we know did not work for Reagan or Bush, or ever for that matter! Now Trump is not a populist. He could care less about the average Jack and Jill, he tells you lies everyday that he does, but lies are his stock in trade! He only cares about amassing power and wealth for himself, and that is all he cares about. Well, and being worshipped by one and all, but that in itself does not cost us anything but our sanity!

Note: These bills were posted by a friend of mine as bills we should be aware of! I looked them up, read them, and added the names of who was responsible for them. You will notice they are all Republicans. The most egregious in my opinion, although all are bad ideas, are the attempts to terminate the Environmental Protection Agency, Public vouchers to replace federal aid to education, termination of the Department of Education and the National Right to Work! This last item, regardless of the title, gives the employer the right to tell you that you have no rights! They will be able to dictate wages as they wish! It strips the work force of any power it might have had to protect itself! You need to pay attention to who and what you vote for because pretty soon the country you claim to love will not exist anymore! You will be working longer for less, your fishing grounds and salmon runs will be fouled with open pit mines! Your streams, lakes and oceans fouled with crude! If you thought you were being restricted in your use of federal or even state land, just look at what happens when it is sold off, you are told to stay off, period! And don’t be surprised to find a fracking operation going on right in your back yard fouling your drinking water, or setting it on fire as it comes out of your faucet in some cases! Get smart, quit clicking on click bait and then reposting it. Most of it comes from Veles in Macedonia and Russian sources! I see my friends falling for and sharing click bait all the time. The truth comes with a lot of work! Do not post until you have done the work, or you are working against our democracy, not for it!

  1. HR 354 Defund Planned Parenthood (Be aware of what this agency actually does before you make a judgment. They provide health care for woman who cannot receive it elsewhere, and they do not use federal money for abortion services. They also give counsel of all other options other than abortion.)

Introduced Jan 6, 2017 by Diane Back [R-TN]

  1. HR 785 National Right to Work (this one is devastating to the working class … it ALSO applies to Union members) it takes away any clout the working class has now! Which is not much!

  1. HR 808 Sanctions against Iran. These are sanctions that are nonnuclear. Meaning that our current Gov. wants to go outside the nuclear agreement and enact sanctions not agreed to previously, this just an example of strongman tactics. It should be noted that the Iran Nuclear Agreement has been couched by the current administration as an Obama creation! When in fact it was created by many nations over years of deliberation. So when we, in our mighty wisdom, decide to pull out, or try and subvert it, we are waving our middle finger at all of our nation partners in the world, basically telling them to go frack themselves. Way to win friends and influence people!

Words matter. Trump has been called a “populist.” The Brexit movement has been called “populist.” Marie LePen, who ran for president of France on an anti-immigration platform, was called a “populist.” Bannon and his anti-Establishment movement funded by the billionaire Mercers are called “populists.” No doubt, someone thinks the Koch brothers are “populists.” None of […]

I am asking my GOP friends to call or write their representatives and senators and tell them you are against rolling back or abolishing the Affordable Care Act and the new GOP tax iniative! Ask them instead to work across the aisle and make both better. We need healthcare that does not murder people so the rich can get richer. How is that Christian, if that is the standard you are using? But these attempts at getting rid of it come with nothing to replace it. This last bid to roll it back is designed specifically to hurt Blue states, but, and you can look this up, Red states are the poorest, most in need of education improvement, and have more people in poverty than blue states, by a large margin. So losing Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act will hurt them in very large numbers! We are talking about Republican voters, core Trump supporters. So all of these multiple attempts to get rid of the Affordable Care Act are because money ordered it! Yes the trillion dollar health insurance industry lobby who have bought and paid for politicians have said get rid of it, we do not want our massive profit margin screwed up by poor people, or the middle class for that matter! Now I myself do not depend on the Affordable Care Act or Medicaid, I have a great private insurance plan provided by Ma Bell plus Medicare! But I am not blind to the what or why that is going on with our healthcare in congress. Paid for politicians who serve money, not you or I, are responsible for taking needed care away from millions. Block grants, give me a break, the states that need the ACA and medicaid the most are so poor that any money they get from block grants will just be like throwing a cup of water in the ocean and expecting to see it rise. Tax reform, sure we need it, but reducing the taxes on the rich when they are already lower than anytime in history drives up the debt! Of course the GOP is preaching trickle down economics again, which has never worked! Ever! Please educate yourselves on this issue, it means the very lives of your children are at stake! If living healthy and even moderately comfortable lives for your children, grandchildren, even yourself, is important, than quit swallowing the swill big money dumps in your trough. And please get off the socialist kick! This has always been a socialist democracy. Police, fire, emergency services, hurricane and flood relief, all social programs. The list goes on and on. Could some be handled better, you bet, but that is where and how our attention needs to used, to make our system work better, not use it to make even more money for the top while the middle class shrinks, the povery level climbs, and education suffers. Convincing you to distrust media, science, education, and hate social programs is how they eventually enslave us. It is how every strongman dictatorship has evolved, it is why history is important. It is why, when all but .5% of scientists warn you that certain things are fact, not fiction, you need to pay attention. And be careful of non-science in your schools, your children will not be able to compete in the world without science, without an understanding of history, without civics. Do you know that most Red state voters, yes voters, cannot even name the three branches of our government! How the hell are they supposed to know when the hoodwinking begins if they do not understand how government works. The executive, for emergencies and national defense, the legislative too hold the executive accountable, make and pass laws, and the judiciary to hold both accountable to the constitution and We The People! None of that can work when money is worshipped over the constitution, or over the wishes of the People!  Congress no longer votes as their constituency tells them, they are paid for politicians. Look at the agenda people, it does you and I no good at all. A tough talking adolescent is not what you need in the White House, mark my words, history will bear me out!

This is an excerpt from a Rolling Stone article by Ed Burmilla!

I believe this to be true, my fact-finding does back it up, and most is self evident, unless you have been living in a cave in the dark for the last eight months!

“Trump’s Republican critics may be sincere. It makes sense they’re getting fed up with having to answer for a guy they didn’t want as a nominee in the first place. The Trump circus has derailed all attempts to focus on the GOP agenda. So surely at some point they’ll tire of him, if for no reason other than self-interest.

Tired or not, though, they cannot break free from the deeply cynical strategy of ignoring what a disaster Trump is for supposed Republican principles like limited government, adherence to the Constitution and defense of the rule of law for as long as they think they can get some of their regressive agenda passed. Ryan’s public championing of tax reform amidst a major natural disaster and the ever-worsening revelations about Trump’s connections to Russia is almost surreal, a real-life version of the dog in the “This is Fine” meme; just ignore the flames and focus on important things like giving millionaires what they want.

Their priority will not change no matter what Trump does and no matter how many vastly more pressing problems confront the nation. The core principle of the GOP is to make the rich richer, and that is more important to people like Ryan than any of our institutions. As reality dawns on the naively hopeful GOP members who believed they could “manage” Trump, their willingness to keep the nuclear codes in the hands of a giant toddler says a lot about their values.

In their more reflective moments, Republicans may be troubled by what is happening in the White House. Too bad they’re not troubled enough to do anything about it. All the anguished and disapproving tweets in the world don’t matter when Republicans are still cynically and selfishly trying to use this unfolding disaster as cover to revive the same discredited economic policies they’ve been pushing for decades. Soon we’ll reach a crossroads where they’ll have to choose between the Constitution and making Tax Day easier on the Koch brothers. Their recent words and actions don’t inspire much confidence that they’ll make the right choice.”

(The fact that this is presented in Bold type means nothing except I know the age of most of my audience, and bold is easier on the eyes.)

This blog is courtesy of part of an article by Joshua Holland and Rolling Stone magazine. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/why-opposing-trump-isnt-like-the-gop-obstructing-obama-w476367

Trump is the first president in history to lack any experience in government, and he frequently makes that clear. His closest advisers include family members, who similarly lack relevant experience and are also running the business he supposedly has nothing to do with; several people who have registered as foreign agents; Sebastion Gorka, whose association with a Hungarian group with Nazi ties is even more alarming than his dubious credentials; and former Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon.

So both President Obama and Trump have serious detractors! It’s also true that Democrats and the left express real fear over Trump’s policies, just as Republicans and the right were terrified of Obama’s agenda. But any similarity ends right there.

The “Tea” in “Tea Party” stood for “Taxed Enough Already,” and almost two-thirds of Tea Partiers said that Obama had raised taxes on “most Americans” at a time when he had in fact cut them, repeatedly, for Americans at all income levels. Their top complaint was that government had grown too large, at a time when federal revenues were at their lowest point, as a share of the economy, than at any time since 1950. When asked how much the government collected in tax revenues, their answers averaged 40 percent, when in fact that is double the highest level of taxation since 1970.

More than nine out of 10 Tea Partiers told pollsters that they feared Obama’s policies were “moving the country toward socialism.” Many believed that Obama had kicked off his presidency by going on a “global apology tour,” a claim Politifact called “a persistent and false Republican talking point that we have debunked a number of times.” Many received subsidized health insurance, but hated Obamacare for its “death panels” (Politifact’s 2009 Lie of the Year) and a “government takeover of health care” (2010’s Lie of the Year). Polls found a sharp spike in the number of gun owners who thought the government was going to do away with the right to bear arms with Obama in the White House. Now they are all sobbing in their stock rooms as gun sales have fallen off dramatically. It turns out President Obama was the greatest gun salesman in history!

So far, Trump hasn’t made any effort to work across the aisle or attract moderate Democratic support for his agenda. Congressional Republicans accused Obama of the same thing. They said he’d “rammed” the Affordable Care Act “down their throats.” They claimed, repeatedly, that nobody knew what was in the bill until they voted for it. “We’ve offered to work with the president all year,” said then-House Minority Leader John Boehner in 2010. “We’ve been shut out, shut out and shut out.” But 160 Republican amendments were included in the Senate bill that would eventually become law. Multiple committees held months of hearings, and then the upper chamber debated the measure for 25 hours before passage. Plus the bill was originally written by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, and hailed by Republicans. It the main reason President Obama chose it, thinking he would not get as much flack as he was using their plan. But he underestimated the GOP hatred of his presidency.

I could go on: Jade Helm, the claim that Obama was sworn in on the Koran, the conspiracy theory that Bill Ayres ghost-wrote his memoir (a favorite of Donald Trump), etc. The point is that the circumstances around these two presidencies couldn’t possibly be more different, and while both men faced fierce opposition, the resistance to Trump is to a much greater extent grounded in reality, or at least information from credible sources, rather than crackpot Internet rumors.

Yet the political press elides these differences in story after story, instinctively framing the opposition to Trump as just more partisan wrangling, rather than a principled response to an authoritarian demagogue elected by 27 percent of the eligible voting population. It’s bad journalism, and it needs to be called out! These are points I have preached on, if you will allow the phrase, countless times in the past! The original article by Mr. Holland had a whole other section on the downfalls of our current President. I have also ‘preached” on those. But I decided my main point is to try and convince you that the Internet is not a factual place! You need to learn how to fish the waters otherwise all you catch are Carp and Suckerfish! I also know, since my friends, the ones I really want to read this, will say, damn, it is just John again, and will probably not even look at it. But I go to a lot of work to fact check before I present my work to you. Yes I have a different perspective, but a lie is a lie in any language or format, and I try really hard not to lie to you! I can guarantee you your current President has no such aspirations!
