Two top U.S. officials in Ukraine drafted a statement for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in August to conduct investigations for President Donald Trump into his political opponents. (N.Y. Times)
Kurt Volker drafted the statement, then the U.S.’s special envoy to Ukraine, and Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s lawyer, and a central figure in the Ukraine controversy was aware of the statement, as was a top aide to Zelensky.
Volker resigned from his position last week after his name was mentioned in an explosive whistleblower complaint alleging that Trump solicited foreign interference in the 2020 election. (Business Insider)
The whistleblower complaint alleges that the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, was fired because Rudy Giuliani claimed she was hostile to President Trump and his goal of investigating Joe Biden. But the report had to connect some dots. Now there is evidence. It comes from, of all people, Giuliani himself. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Giuliani admits he reminded the president of complaints that she had displayed anti-Trump bias! She did not want to push Ukraine to investigate Mr. Biden and his son Hunter.” (Intelligencer)
I post this as my investigations corroborate these statements based on CNN, PBS, NPR, ABC, NBC, Times, Politico, Pravda, Trud, Argumenti, even Fox News, and friends overseas, Australia, Russia, Israel. Of course, if you believe Trump, all news sources are evil, lying, and worthless enemies of Democracy. He has even been including Fox lately! I think that all news is biased, but some are more truthful than others. Fox is not one of them. They are Trump state T.V., although they do have a couple of truth sayers in their midst. Pravda is another state-run news agency, but to derive the truth, I also have to read the lies!
